Why Jon Stewart is coming back without his writers

My opinion is that Stewart sucks if he violates the strike...and he will lose me as a viewer while the strike remains on. It's people like him that have helped devastate the unions in this country which has lead to the ever degrading lifestyle of the working man and woman.

Works for me - more old programs that actually had decent writers behind them coming on plus tons of alternate entertainment. Besides with the junk out anymore I think the writers in general should be kicking some of their money BACK to the studios. Maybe 2 new programs a week on TV anymore worth watching and those "reality TV" prgrams are a total waste of air time.

Unions anymore are a form of price fixing using a threat of decreased business and profits by keeping workers away. Well in any case those workers are replaceable, including (and especially) writers. FAA controllers thought they had the govt by the nads except they forgot that their position put the public at risk and the govt had the option to fire them if they didnt return to work, and they did replace them and had things normal within a short time. Writers can hang out with the actors that have nothing but time but at the same time these same actors need to realize where their checks come from and they put themselves in a spot supporting one side of the industry over another. I personally wouldnt lose a wink of sleep if the whole television and media industry folded tonight.

I agree, most folks are sick of the garbola on tv, films and others that so-called "writers" want more money for...let them walk with their signs and chance being replaced - a lot more creative people out there waiting for a chance to show their skills.

How are any of these four insanely naive comments relevant to the Jon Stewart comment on this post? As for you folks wanting the entire industry to fold ... go back to freshman-year econ and realize what an economically supportive industry this is. Actually - just START Freshman year. You could use the education.

couldn't we outscource politcal pundit writing to china to get the daily show back on the air?

they could write some funny hillary jokes on campaign finance

Well, it looks like we'll have to wait and see with the show to actually do any judging.
